Sustainability
Responsible investment
Integral acknowledges the impact we all have on the environment and society. Beyond financial preformance, we seek to be responsible investors in our portfolio companies. We believe that understanding the operational aspects of a business, in addition to its financial profile, allows us to both manage risks effectively and generate value.
Responsible investing has always been important to Integral but changing times and regulatory requirements have made it necessary to formalize our ESG processes and initiatives. More information related to Integral’s approach to ESG can be found in our Responsible Investment Policy, ESG Policy and SFDR Disclusure.
Integral’s approach
Integral has comitted to follow the ESG policies and performance standards of our cornerstone investors and we do not invest in any companies whose activities are found on EBRD’s or IFC’s exclusion list.
Furthermore, Integral has established procedures to identify, assess, mitigate, and manage environmental, social and governance risks not only to eliminate or reduce risks to the investments, but to further good social policy. We are working together with the portfolio companies’ management teams and board of directors to maximize long-term value creation while reducing any negative impact a company has on its surroundings and stakeholders.
Our first fund is classified as Article 6 fund under SFDR though most of the portfolio companies have already been implementing significant ESG related initiatives. Our second fund is complying with SFDR Article 8 requirements, meaning that our investments will promote ESG characteristics.
Remuneration policy
Integral currently does not have a Remuneration Policy in accordance with the requirements of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088. The integration of sustainability risks is not explicitly considered with respect to the determination of remuneration. Practically, remuneration policy schemes of the Integral funds are aligned to the performance of the investment portfolio. As a result, the remuneration policy is to a large extent directly linked to sustainability risk.
ESG events
Any stakeholders or concerned parties are encouraged to notify Integral about any ESG events which may affect them as a result of any activities of the Funds’ portfolio companies. Please address any enquiries or concerns to the e-mail address info@integralvp.com or via the Contact Form on the website.
Appropriate action will be taken to screen, verify and assess the information communicated and interaction/response to a notification will be addressed within a defined period (usually 30 days).
